Eric Boelen joined EDS in June 2015, after a 35 year long career in the boiler and related equipment business. He was involved in the core design of industrial size firetube and watertube boilers and applying the correct auxiliary equipment to complete the systems. He worked as Engineering Manager for larger boiler companies and has also been involved in resolving issues with boilers, pressure vessels, piping and valves and controls. He has a wealth of knowledge regarding wood and other solid waste fuel combustion and the auxiliary equipment used in that field.

Jim is President of Oakridge Consulting, LLC, serving the renewable energy industry. He has over 40 years of Technical and Management experience with the US Army, Procter and Gamble Manufacturing Company, and BRABMIJ, Inc. Responsibilities included direct line management of manufacturing and quality assurance groups, engineering design and management of multimillion-dollar capital projects, technology leadership in environmental controls and chemical processing.
Jim graduated with Honors from the Colorado School of Mines with a Professional Degree (Masters) in Engineering Chemistry and was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the US Army Corps of Engineers. Jim is a Vietnam veteran decorated with a Bronze Star for achievement.
